The Multilingual Orchestra is a devised multilingual musical with songs from eight countries, representing through ensemble work the encounter of Music and Language: two fundamental parts of cultural identity, artistically complementary. The participants will choose songs from their countries and the characters of the songs will become the characters of the play, devising an intricate plot of encounters between cultures, languages, and traditions on the theme of displacement.

 We have chosen to devise a Multilingual Musical because we believe music is a cultural symbol and a universal method of communication, accessible to everyone and able to overcome language barriers in the reaching of audiences. We mostly value our participants because of their willingness to empathize with people celebrating the differences between their stories, experiences, and heritages.
